Das \u003cem\u003e'S' im 18S bedeutet Saugzug,\u003c\/em\u003e was heißt das der Kessel zusätzlich mit einem automatischen Saugzuggebläse arbeitet. Jeder 18S der bis zum Stichtag eingebaut und zugelassen wurde, hat selbstverständlich Bestandsschutz. Der Schutz ist Pflicht, da ein Holzvergaser nicht wie eine Ölheizung oder Gasheizung arbeitet. Diese Schalten sich nach Erreichen der eingestellten Temperatur aus und der Öl oder Gasfluss wird gestoppt, das geht natürlich nicht bei Holz. Fällt also die Pumpe aufgrund von einem Stromausfall aus erhitzt sich der Kessel immer weiter, da das heiße Wasser nicht mehr abgeführt wird und auch kein kühles nachfließt. Die thermische Ablaufsicherung setzt dann ab einer gewissen Temperatur ein um den Kessel mit Frischwasser durchzuspülen, bis der Kessel wieder eine annehmbare Temperatur erreicht.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eAußerdem ist der Atmos 18S mit dem \u003cspan style=\"\" text-decoration: underline\u003e\u003cem\u003ePelletbrenner A25\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e von Atmos in der oberen Tür bestellbar oder später einfach nachrüstbar.
