Dadurch erhitzt sich das gerade Rauchrohr nicht so stark und der \u003cstrong\u003eSicherheitsabstand zu Wänden und anderen brennbaren Materialien kann verringert werden\u003c\/strong\u003e. Die doppelwandigen Längenelemente sind in unterschiedlichen Längen erhältlich und lassen sich auch eigenhändig auf das gewünschte Maß kürzen.  Bei doppelwandigen Ofenrohren gibt es einiges zu beachten. Durch die \u003cstrong\u003edämmende\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eSchicht\u003c\/strong\u003e ergibt sich ein kleinerer Innendurchmesser, der mit herkömmlichen einwandigen Rohren \u003cstrong\u003enicht kompatibel\u003c\/strong\u003e ist. Auch Ofen- und Schornsteinanschluss sind nicht auf doppelwandige Rauchrohre ausgelegt.
